My name is Denis Kanygin and I am a full time fitness trainer and postural corrective therapist.
My journey to fitness and health started when I was 11 years old living in Ekaterinburg, Russia. Our neighbor was diagnosed with cancer.
At that time treatment options were scarce, so she decided to heal herself. Fitness and exercise were a big part of the regimen. We all showed support and I somehow got into running at 6am(in the snow!), doing calisthenics and even trying weights.
Fast forward couple of years to my discovery of Russian Kettlebell (Girevoi Sport) and weight lifting. I was hooked and kept going ever since.
Initially it was just for fun, no specific goal in mind
As I moved to U.S. and got into Track & Field, performance and results dominated my training
As I started fitness training business, my personal goals were focused on looks. That however quickly changed.
Health and wellness became the dominant and only outcome. Training for life is my goal. It is the very reason why I created Workout IQ program

10 Things that we found to be true.
1. You are your own doctor. You live in your body 24/7. Only you really know your body. Your posture is a map that reveals a wealth of information about your condition. We can help you read this map but it is up to you to use the tools we provide to heal yourself.
2. Consistency is the key to success. Healing is a process. You may feel instant relief but to permanently change your structure it will take time and work on your part.
3. Pain is good. Pain is your body's way of telling you that something is out of balance. Listen to your body. Learn from this unpleasent sensation. Take care of the problem now. Prevent any further damage.
4. Pain killers cause more harm then good. Pain is your body's way of letting you know that something is not right. Covering the pain with drugs will allow you to function as before, but at what cost?
Think of you body as a car. Think of the pain as a service light. When your engine is overheating the service light comes on. How inconvenient! Taking drugs is like turning that service light off. The engine is still overheated and by not taking care of the problem right away you will cause more damage to your car.
By covering pain you are causing more damage to your body.
5. Our bodies are made to move. Unfortunately our life styles are challenging this need. Spending so much of our time sitting is taking it's toll on our bodies. Stop sitting and start moving.
6. Emotional stress affects your physical body. Our emotional and physical sides are so interweaved that their effect on each other is tremendous.
7. Positive thinking and visualisation results in positive results. Visualize your world the way you want it to be and it will be so.
8. Proper breathing is critical when dealing with pain. If you're feeling pain, breathe deep into your stomach and feel the pain go away.
9. Preventative treatment is cheaper then treatment of an injury. The sooner you address improper posture the better.
10. Drug companies and doctors don't always have your best interest in mind. If they don't perform surgeries and sell you drugs they would be out of business. Be healthy and pain free without drugs and surgery.
